The TRIO SSS Summer Bridge Program helps incoming first year and transfer students transition smoothly to OSU and campus life. This year the free summer program will have two components:

1. Online Modules that will be accessible during the summer before the fall term starts on topics such as: 

  • OSU Technology and Class Schedules 
  • Financial Aid (Loans, Navigating Financial Aid Portal, etc.)  
  • Financial Literacy (Budgeting, Understanding Credit, SMART Goals, etc.)  
  • Career Center 
  • OSU Resources (Tutoring, Library, Ordering Transcripts, etc.) as well as
  • Learning and Study Strategies Inventory (LASSI) is designed to gather information about learning and study practices and attitudes.

2. In-Person Component: This year the in-person component will run September 16th-19th, 2025 for First Year students and September 17th, 2025 for Transfer students.

  • During Summer Bridge, students living in the residence halls during the 2025-2026 academic year will be allowed to move in early. Activities will include workshops, tours, games, and bonding elements to prepare students for academic success at OSU. 
  •  All incoming students admitted in TRIO SSS starting fall term must participate in the Summer Bridge Program.
